The Dublin Lions club have been hosting a Christmas party for the homeless and those in sheltered accommodation in January of each year for the past 40 years are different venues throughout Dublin city centre. The club have received support for various organisation during this period.

The club identifies hostels and distributes tickets for the party for guests who must be over 18. It is a ticket only event with guests being greeted by members of the Dublin Lions club. The club provides a hot food meal and refreshments. There is also music and dance and guests participate in the event.

Recently the event has been held in the GPO with the generous support of An Post. An Post provide the facility and their staff on the night. The An Post choir also sing at the event. The hot food is generously donated by the Defence forces who provide all the catering free of charge. GARDA provide all the security on the night as they have done for many years. This ensures a very smooth event.

At the end of the night the guests are bid farewell with a goody bag to go away with on the night.

We are in constant need of sponsors / helpers & contacts.

This is NOT a fundraiser, however any material donation, would be used for auction at our annual black tie fundraiser. Eric’s Party is simply a night-out for those less fortunate than ourselves.
