Sponsored Walk 2016
**Donate for our walk in 2020 here**
For over 40 years the Dublin Lions Club has held a 10K sponsored walk. This event raises funds for our service activities, 100% of the monies raised are spent assisting our local community and those in need around us.
This is a social event for all the family, and for prospective members to “dip a toe in the water”, to assist raising much needed funds while enjoying a sociable and manageable walk through our fantastic city.

Sponsored Walk 2016
The route of our walk has varied through the years, with the first route taking participants from Busarus through the city and out the Clontarf road to Howth. More recently we were joined by our fellow Lions from Howth and Malahide who walked a route from Sutton cross to the IFSC while a route from Dunlaoghaire to the IFSC was enjoyed by members of the Dublin Lions Club. We met for a very enjoyable social event in Ely Bar & Grill in the CHQ building in the IFSC at the end of our walk.
Should you be interested in helping us to raise money for our service activities and would like to participate in our annual walk please get in touch you are more than welcome to join us.
In 2020 we decided to do things a little differently due to the ongoing situation of COVID-19. In November 2020 we are doing our Walk Sunrise 2 Sunset – Dublin Lions Club Hope Fundraising Walk. We decided to do a relay between Blackrock Dart Station and Sandycove Park with 24 pairs walking a short distance within their 5km radius and use our funds raised for our Diabetes Awareness activities. For anyone who’s 5km prevented them from joining in the relay, we set the challenge to walk a marathon (45km) within the month of November. If you want to donate to this cause, you can do so right here via iDonate. All funds go directly to the Dublin Lions Club.
